You know when you have a rough night (maybe you ended up in the kid’s room?) and you get that crick in your neck. Just one vertabrae slightly out of place can cause pain, reduced energy, just feeling cranky overall… Life is the same way. When we are out of alignment with God’s exact calling for us, it affects every part of our life. So here is a little about me and how this become evident in my life.
I am a Christian Mompreneur living in the plains of Colorado most of the time and also in my home state of Missouri! I am married to my incredible hubby and we have been blessed with three young boys. Like you, God has called me to be the primary caregiver of our children. This was a shocking change in plans for us! We never had planned for me to stay home and I am a business woman! I had a successful leadership career of 10 years at a public company so the pit in my stomach of leaving my first baby was unexpected. It took us a few years to be able to reduce our budget and pay off debt to make it financially possible for me to be home but there was still a concern on my heart that wasn’t money-related.
I yearned for a professional outlet and I had long desired to be an entrepreneur. But I didn’t think it was possible to take care of my kiddos AND grow a business (and I should mention we started homeschooling preschool a few years ago and just finished up Kindergarten with my oldest).
Of course the Lord had other plans. I’m now a multi-preneur… a Marketer and Operator by trade. I am a Personal Brand Strategist, I spent a little time offering private-label products in my holistic health business, I am a certified integrative nutrition health coach and I have a large network marketing team that I built over the last couple of years. My point is, I have also failed in my attempts to be an entrepreneur and each failure has become a lesson for what God was ACTUALLY guiding me toward.
Don’t think that a linear, clean, perfect path is the only way to become a successful Mompreneur. Every family is different and God’s plans are unique to each of us. We are called the Body of Christ for a reason…we don’t need everyone to be a left arm. It takes the sum of the parts to be complete. And that is exactly why I do not think it’s an accident or coincidence that you are here!
I used to feel guilty that I still wanted to work even though my strongest desire is to raise and disciple my children. But it turns out, I’m a better Mom when I get to use the passions, experiences and gifts that God gave me.
Now let me be clear, I don’t think God calls every Mom to be home and I also don’t think He calls every SAHM to be a business owner. But if He calls you to do both, this show is for you.
So I left my career, I came home, I struggled to have things click into alignment. After a few years, I finally am seeing the JOY in this unique calling and I’ve never been more in my element. That’s one of my favorite things I hear from those that work with me – they too are finding their TRUE passions and are no longer struggling to build a business in spite of their families. FRIENDS, we are not called to have to choose! If the Holy Spirit has put that desire in your heart to raise kids and a biz, you will be guided to grow a business FOR your family and for His kingdom.
On this show my guests and I will be covering things like how to stay home if you currently work outside the home, the missteps to avoid when starting a business, how to build a personal brand and business that glorifies God, routines to fit it all in, how faith can grow exponentially after leaving the workplace, attraction marketing using ethical methods, industry-specific tips, How to get buy-in from your spouse and I’ll be featuring other Christian Mompreneurs to give you some ideas on options and how to make it work! Anything that is relevant to us as Moms AND business owners is fair game to be covered :).

We’ve all heard about the Proverbs 31 woman who seems to be able to do it all, and do it perfectly. The joy is in the journey my friend.
